Alexander Atamian

Alexander S. Atamian was born in Hollywood, California, and raised in Glendale, where he graduated from Glendale High School. From an early age, he was drawn to numbers and the structure of financial systems. This interest became the guiding force that led him to pursue a career in accounting and finance.

He attended the University of Southern California and earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the Marshall School of Business. His time at USC gave him a strong technical foundation and introduced him to key business principles. These experiences prepared him for the demands of the financial industry and gave him the confidence to begin his professional journey.

Alexander started at PricewaterhouseCoopers, one of the Big Four accounting firms. During his three years there, he worked with Fortune 500 and mid-sized businesses on external audits, financial statement preparation, and compliance. PwC taught him the discipline, attention to detail, and understanding of regulatory standards that shaped the rest of his career.

After PwC, Alexander moved into the private sector, taking on leadership roles. At Toyota Motor Sales, he managed general ledger closings and prepared statements for a $14.6 billion division. Later, as Principal at Singer, Burke & Company, he oversaw audits, reviews, and business planning. At Time Warner, he served as Internal Audit Manager, conducting audits across divisions and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.

At Toyota Financial Services, Alexander’s responsibilities grew further. He managed treasury accounting, $8 billion in investments, and $100 billion in debt management. Later, as Controller at Toyota Financial Securities Services, he implemented internal controls that improved efficiency and reduced costs by 15%. His career then advanced to MUSA Auto Finance, where, as Vice President of Finance, he led planning and forecasting that contributed to a 25% profit increase.

Today, Alexander Atamian is a Senior Consultant at Toyota Financial Services, focusing on technical accounting, SEC reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and tax planning. His steady leadership and ability to explain complex issues have made him a trusted partner to executives.

Besides his CPA license, he holds real estate, insurance, and mortgage lending licenses, and is proficient in SAP, NetSuite, Salesforce, Hyperion Essbase, Power BI, and SmartView. Guided by Christian values, Alexander supports charities such as the ASPCA, Shriners Hospital, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and Samaritan’s Purse.
